Trip to waterfalls…………

Coutrallam is a place in south TamilNadu in Tirunelveli district, sorrounded by misty mountains and hills. This  place is known for waterfalls as there are more than 10 falls in and around this place, but the main tourist attraction is the Main Falls, Five falls, Old falls, shenbaga falls, Tiger falls and still there are small unnamed falls allover this area where one can feel the freshness of water along with the smell of herbs that sorrounds the atmosphere.

 One can feel the chillness when you enter Thenkasi itself, which is about 20kms from Courtallam. The greenery around the area makes us feel cool inside. As you enter the falls excitement catches u as u can see lots of people doing oil massage and the breeze and sound of the falls makes you thrilled. The water is cold as ice and once you enter the falls you don’t feel like coming out. This water has a lot of medicinal properties as it carries a lot of medicinal herbs found on the mountains. The best of enjoyment is to have bath when its drizzling.Its a relaxing  and wonerful experience.

   Thank you padhu. It seems to be a place for relaxation. Tamilnadu & keral have lot of such serene beauties. Is stay available? any good lodges?
